Blackberry Maple Syrup

I'm in the process of canning all the blackberries we collected on our property this year and while working on my famous blackberry jam, I came across this fun recipe from Southern Living.

Blackberry Maple Syrup

Makes 2 cups

1/2 cup real maple syrup
12 ounces frozen blackberries, thawed
1 tsp lemon zest
2 tsp lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
*Frozen mixed berries, thawed, can be substituted.
