The Florida State Fair Sweepstakes Baking Competition was held Friday, February 5, 2010. The sweepstakes competition is open to previous year's Best of Show winners. Here are the results for my entries:
German Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies - Third Place
Pecan French Silk Pie - Third Place
Coconut Fudge Cake - Did not place
Had a great time taking in the fair, eating, checking out the exhibits, eating, petting the animals, and oh yeah, eating. A very strong storm came through and cut our day short. Several people were injured by collapsing structures, but all in all, we had a good time. Back to the Fair on Saturday for the Adult and Youth Baking Competitions.
